March Break FUN

Categories: News

The March Break FUN event, which was held on the 15th of March, was a HUGE success! The sun came out early in the morning, and the toboggan hills were covered in packed snow, perfect for winter fun. Our cozy firepit had people chatting together, and keeping warm while making their yummy s’mores. Inside the cabin was packed full of busy little people and their parents; making crafts, cards and Friends of Pinery Park chatterboxes throughout the day. The maple taffy was a big hit with those who have a sweet tooth, and many visitors enjoyed just learning about how to make maple taffy. Our Habitat Stewardship Technician, Victoria Pepe was surrounded by young children eager to learn more about the threatened and endangered species. By the end of the day, no leftovers – all of the crafts, s’mores, and hot chocolate were finished – a good sign! This event would not have been such fun without all of the wonderful Friends of Pinery Park.
