In this presentation by Friends of Pinery Park, naturalist and wildlife tracker Chris Gilmour from www.chrisoutdoors.ca shared an introduction to the art and science of wildlife tracking. Many of us know about animals from what we read, watch on TV, and the often-brief encounters we have with animals in the wild.
Learning to track wildlife is about more than learning to ID lifeless footprints. It is about reading the story of nature written across the landscape. Wildlife trackers are storytellers, and the tracks of the animals teach us about the intricate details of their lives. Come learn about local wildlife and how to become a tracker!
