Rolling Boardwalks Event

Friends of Pinery Park has been assisting Pinery Provincial Park to make and install rolling boardwalks for a few years now. Rolling boardwalks are easily installed and removed seasonally, to provide defined pathways over the dunes, allowing visitors to access certain areas without damaging the delicate ecosystems.

The key to a successful Rolling Boardwalk Event is amazing volunteers and team players with determination and purpose! Our most recent Rolling Boardwalks Event was very productive! Not only is it a valuable activity to do to protect the dunes; but seeing the efficient teamwork by a small group of people, was incredibly rewarding.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and the Ontario Parks staff who helped with the Rolling Boardwalks Event. Some of our volunteers came from as far away as Toronto, London and Tecumseh! Thank you very much for volunteering for the Rolling Boardwalks and for spending your Saturday doing such strenuous work. It is amazing people like this who make our Friends of Pinery Park events such a huge success!
